Uni is nearly over :(
A little reflection on my final project.
I have been working non stop on my final project, a collection of book covers, editorials and illustrations for The Lady of the House of Love, and i’ve loved every second. Although I’ve been enjoying this last project, it’s not distracting me from the fact that my uni time is coming to an end. I’ve loved every second being at bcu and it’ll be weird to leave, I never saw myself enjoying education as much as I have but everything i’ve learnt and experienced has made me finally excited to have a future past school.
I’m going to miss being 5 minutes away from my friends, and having the constant access to tutor support, but I think I am ready to leave. I don’t want to let my skills go to waste and am ready to start looking for my next move into an illustration career.
Gelli plate printing has fast become a key element in my work, and in this final project I have used it in every single illustration, it’s one of those things you learn where you go ‘what on earth was I doing before this?’. This works for me and my style so well and I’m excited to perfect the skill in the future :)
